Materials, components, or products that have entered the production process but have not yet been completed into finished goods ready for sale or shipment. These items represent inventory that has moved beyond raw materials stage but requires additional processing, assembly, or quality control before completion.

WIP tracking is crucial for warehouse operations because it provides visibility into production flow, identifies bottlenecks, and helps optimize resource allocation.
